Community Involvement
Copperleaf residents enjoy engaging in volunteer work. They live with the understanding that no one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another by offering a hand up at a time it is needed.
Copperleaf residents volunteer in the local schools and hospitals. They help with Habitat for Humanity projects and many residents are involved in serving the community through religious and civic organizations.
Wink News sponsors an annual walk for the Harry Chapin Food Bank. The Copperleaf Charitable Foundation received the Walking Man Award several consecutive years and then became a major presenter of the Hunger Walk.
Throughout Copperleaf, one can witness that Copperleaf Cares about others. Golf groups and neighborhoods make donations to many different charities. The annual Fashion Show, held each Spring, is always a huge success. The ladies look forward to seeing the newest fashions modeled by their friends. The proceeds from ticket sales and raffles enable a donation to a local Abuse, Counseling and Treatment Center. Ladies show up at the clubhouse with sewing machines, scissors, ironing boards and they work throughout the day making colorful pillowcases for the children at Golisano Hospital and fleece blankets for the children at the Abuse, Counseling and Treatment Center.
Copperleaf’s broad community connections provides opportunities for residents to share their skills and good fortune with others who need a “hand up.” It is truly a wonderful caring place to call Home.
